{"id":"UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846","details":"Allure 2 is the version 2.x branch of Allure Report, a multi-language test reporting tool. Prior to 2.39.0, the HTTP server started by allure serve and allure open uses URI.getPath() in Commands.setUpServer() in allure-commandline/src/main/java/io/qameta/allure/Commands.java and passes the percent-decoded request path to reportDirectory.resolve() without normalizing the result or confirming that it remains inside that directory. An unauthenticated client that can reach the server can submit parent-directory segments, including percent-encoded segments, and cause serveFile() to return any regular file readable by the Allure process. The server binds to localhost by default, but the --host option can expose it to other systems, and local users, adjacent containers, or browser-origin attacks may reach a local listener. This can disclose credentials, configuration, source code, build secrets, and other CI/CD data. This issue is fixed in version 2.39.0.","modified":"2026-09-16T14:02:11.622289344Z","published":"2026-09-14T18:17:00Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-55846"],"references":[{"type":"REPORT","url":"https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2026-55846"},{"type":"REPORT","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-55846"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"allure","ecosystem":"Ubuntu:18.04:LTS","purl":"pkg:deb/ubuntu/allure?arch=source&distro=bionic"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.5.0.0-1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"binaries":[{"binary_name":"allure","binary_version":"0.5.0.0-1"}]},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-security-notices/blob/main/osv/cve/2026/UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846.json"}},{"package":{"name":"allure","ecosystem":"Ubuntu:20.04:LTS","purl":"pkg:deb/ubuntu/allure?arch=source&distro=focal"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.8.3.0-3build1","0.8.3.0-3build2","0.8.3.0-3build3"],"ecosystem_specific":{"binaries":[{"binary_name":"allure","binary_version":"0.8.3.0-3build3"}]},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-security-notices/blob/main/osv/cve/2026/UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846.json"}},{"package":{"name":"allure","ecosystem":"Ubuntu:22.04:LTS","purl":"pkg:deb/ubuntu/allure?arch=source&distro=jammy"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.9.5.0-2build1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"binaries":[{"binary_name":"allure","binary_version":"0.9.5.0-2build1"}]},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-security-notices/blob/main/osv/cve/2026/UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846.json"}},{"package":{"name":"allure","ecosystem":"Ubuntu:24.04:LTS","purl":"pkg:deb/ubuntu/allure?arch=source&distro=noble"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.11.0.0-1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"binaries":[{"binary_name":"allure","binary_version":"0.11.0.0-1"}]},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-security-notices/blob/main/osv/cve/2026/UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846.json"}},{"package":{"name":"allure","ecosystem":"Ubuntu:26.04:LTS","purl":"pkg:deb/ubuntu/allure?arch=source&distro=resolute"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.11.0.0-1","0.11.0.0-1build1","0.11.0.0-2"],"ecosystem_specific":{"binaries":[{"binary_name":"allure","binary_version":"0.11.0.0-2"}]},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-security-notices/blob/main/osv/cve/2026/UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55846.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N"},{"type":"Ubuntu","score":"medium"}]}
