{"id":"PYSEC-2026-114","details":"OpenCTI 3.3.1 is vulnerable to a directory traversal attack via the static/css endpoint. An unauthenticated attacker can read arbitrary files from the filesystem by sending crafted GET requests with path traversal sequences (e.g., '../') in the URL. For example, requesting /static/css//../../../../../../../../etc/passwd returns the contents of /etc/passwd. This vulnerability was discovered by Raif Berkay Dincel and confirmed on Linux Mint and Windows 10.","aliases":["CVE-2020-37041"],"modified":"2026-05-21T15:00:24.259362714Z","published":"2026-01-30T23:16:09.750Z","references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://www.opencti.io/"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/opencti-directory-traversal"},{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://github.com/OpenCTI-Platform/opencti"},{"type":"EVIDENCE","url":"https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/48595"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"pycti","ecosystem":"PyPI","purl":"pkg:pypi/pycti"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"3.3.1"}]}],"versions":["1.2.1","1.2.11","1.2.12","1.2.13","1.2.14","1.2.15","1.2.2","1.2.4","1.2.9","2.0.0","2.0.1","2.0.2","2.0.3","2.1.10","2.1.11","2.1.12","2.1.13","2.1.3","2.1.4","2.1.5","2.1.6","2.1.7","2.1.8","2.1.9","3.0.0","3.0.1","3.0.2","3.0.3","3.1.0","3.1.1","3.1.2","3.2.0","3.2.1","3.2.2","3.2.3","3.2.4","3.2.5","3.2.6","3.2.7","3.3.0","3.3.1"],"ecosystem_specific":{},"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/pypa/advisory-database/blob/main/vulns/pycti/PYSEC-2026-114.yaml"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N"}]}
