{"id":"MAL-2026-17721","summary":"Malicious code in @galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype (npm)","details":"\n---\n_-= Per source details. The addon reads CI/CD and cloud credentials from the environment (AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID, AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY, AWS_SESSION_TOKEN, GITHUB_TOKEN, NPM_TOKEN, NODE_AUTH_TOKEN, SYSTEM_ACCESSTOKEN, ACTIONS_RUNTIME_TOKEN, ACTIONS_ID_TOKEN_REQUEST_TOKEN, GITHUB_REPOSITORY) along with host identifiers (hostname, uid/pwuid, cwd, uname) and POSTs them as JSON to oob.s4yhii.com via a raw socket (POST /native HTTP/1.0). The addon also imports fork and setsid from libc and detaches as a background process on load, giving the payload a lifetime beyond the Node parent. The scoped name combined with a 999.0.5 version and UNLICENSED metadata fits the dependency-confusion shape intended to beat an internal package's version during resolution, meaning any CI pipeline that resolves this scope will leak long-lived cloud, npm, and GitHub Actions tokens to an attacker-controlled out-of-band host.\n","modified":"2026-10-09T14:00:06.264089835Z","published":"2026-10-09T13:38:22Z","database_specific":{"malicious-packages-origins":[{"versions":["999.0.6"],"id":"IN-MAL-2026-021304","import_time":"2026-10-09T13:46:18.442246427Z","modified_time":"2026-10-09T13:38:22Z","sha256":"3db386138ce010bdfebab41e059e27200c763fc8bde6e2597ed4b51db8bfe6ad","source":"amazon-inspector"},{"sha256":"63cdc34da85584342e27bc84d22c01a826c71020b7bf07987626cbe457e2e560","source":"amazon-inspector","versions":["999.0.5"],"id":"IN-MAL-2026-021326","import_time":"2026-10-09T13:46:20.123359389Z","modified_time":"2026-10-09T13:41:36Z"},{"source":"amazon-inspector","versions":["999.0.1"],"id":"IN-MAL-2026-021335","import_time":"2026-10-09T13:46:20.803605693Z","modified_time":"2026-10-09T13:43:00Z","sha256":"b404443b6e850e1270b32271dea903ac546adb0226a37ba32b5a2e8b62bfbb52"}]},"references":[{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype/v/999.0.6"},{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype/v/999.0.5"},{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype/v/999.0.1"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"@galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype","ecosystem":"npm","purl":"pkg:npm/%40galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype"},"versions":["999.0.6","999.0.5","999.0.1"],"database_specific":{"cwes":[{"name":"Embedded Malicious Code","cweId":"CWE-506","description":"The product contains code that appears to be malicious in nature."},{"cweId":"CWE-506","description":"The product contains code that appears to be malicious in nature.","name":"Embedded Malicious Code"},{"cweId":"CWE-506","description":"The product contains code that appears to be malicious in nature.","name":"Embedded Malicious Code"}],"indicators":{"evidence_files":[{"path":"prebuilds/linux-x64/metrics.node","sha256":"daedefd6a8a02449e29a163a1a92edc0859c0cdb814ec1024b6615fa78bdd375","tlsh":"8272641bb261ce3bc4dc4278015b5ab0b1b25474e77353231b10a1ba3e927485ebaf9a"},{"path":"package.json","sha256":"4eb73c696d51d5cf52bed5a67821fa7e4519db7d17b2f698ec021ff4c06562f1","tlsh":"a5c02b68c1321c2f0e004f0cac812c1a41ee0025c08cc40801314330c36b9f841cc02b"}],"package_integrity":[{"hashes":{"sha1":"902dc5174e56008d314d6ddfa9bce80119fa7b88","sha512_sri":"sha512-hG4N7PE9q5t/hU1YlAZgPmNFB5pIZD1H8Ma45DsewlpPSZUpOkxvaUdFZQCWFGGn+XgRTmCMqbBRaYt5EkuPrQ=="},"filename":"archetype-999.0.6.tgz"}]},"source":"https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/main/osv/malicious/npm/@galicia-toolkit-nestjs/archetype/MAL-2026-17721.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","credits":[{"name":"Amazon Inspector","contact":["inspector-research@amazon.com"],"type":"FINDER"}]}
