{"id":"MAL-2026-13511","summary":"Malicious code in dolyame-ui-stateutils (npm)","details":"\n---\n_-= Per source details. Do not edit below this line.=-_\n\n## Source: amazon-inspector (cdcb488491701865d9106e75e576785ff3b4f1d9687e456eb69f1ff69d8a393f)\nOn require()/import, index.js loads _loader.js which fetches an opaque platform-specific binary from one of three obfuscated Cloudflare Workers endpoints (oob-worker.cf99-9b3.workers.dev, oob-worker.cf100-416.workers.dev, oob-worker.cf102-baf.workers.dev), with a DNS-TXT base64 fallback distribution channel under sdk.dl.wel1.ru / ext.dl.wel1.ru / pkg.dl.wel1.ru / net.dl.wel1.ru. The payload is written to /tmp or %TEMP% under names disguised as system tooling (dotnet_diag_\u003chex\u003e.exe,.cache_\u003chex\u003e), chmodded 0755 on POSIX, and detached-spawned via /bin/sh -c or cmd.exe. Both the Workers hostnames and the DNS resolver domains are assembled at runtime via.join(\"\") over fragmented string arrays to evade static analysis. Package.json describes the package as a 'Monitoring and observability SDK' and offers DISABLE_TELEMETRY/ANALYTICS_OPT_OUT/DO_NOT_TRACK environment gates, but the package name (dolyame-ui-stateutils) is unrelated to any monitoring product and the cover story does not correspond to the actual on-import behavior. A rate-limiting cache is kept at /tmp/.analytics_state to throttle re-fetches.\n","modified":"2026-08-07T12:35:15.414224809Z","published":"2026-08-07T12:12:25Z","database_specific":{"malicious-packages-origins":[{"versions":["35.8.1"],"id":"IN-MAL-2026-016882","import_time":"2026-08-07T12:23:25.635392019Z","modified_time":"2026-08-07T12:12:25Z","sha256":"cdcb488491701865d9106e75e576785ff3b4f1d9687e456eb69f1ff69d8a393f","source":"amazon-inspector"}]},"references":[{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/dolyame-ui-stateutils/v/35.8.1"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"dolyame-ui-stateutils","ecosystem":"npm","purl":"pkg:npm/dolyame-ui-stateutils"},"versions":["35.8.1"],"database_specific":{"indicators":{"evidence_files":[{"path":"_loader.js","sha256":"f33d423baaa05d31cbd012451d944149ea43eddc0e6bec4f5e033ad6043e066e","tlsh":"38a1a55916fa70180b92f5d4841f881671abf98337c4d9c4fb4ca6948fe726883b39ec"},{"sha256":"a1e2a6812298ef4498084f31ecad1fa160a57c8b05c8b2b9b64cad9ca621edfe","tlsh":"8dd05b344b62952356c152171d1ad19273505fab10547c0857cf192c029e6775dff35d","path":"package.json"}],"package_integrity":[{"hashes":{"sha1":"d65aa9b419e0b4b9f6086fbf000527954a684ffa","sha512_sri":"sha512-TO1zXPz3lUdkhNrUJbdHhSPlttIzVoY+OhabXq8gGQUkl3i4Y7jBsTaLkQsDITBa/jWBUD2sfBLIzoq3vPRLGw=="},"filename":"dolyame-ui-stateutils-35.8.1.tgz"}]},"cwes":[{"name":"Embedded Malicious Code","cweId":"CWE-506","description":"The product contains code that appears to be malicious in nature."}],"source":"https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/main/osv/malicious/npm/dolyame-ui-stateutils/MAL-2026-13511.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.8.0","credits":[{"name":"Amazon Inspector","contact":["inspector-research@amazon.com"],"type":"FINDER"}]}
