{"id":"GHSA-fv3c-6cw7-2qcq","summary":"Jenkins Poll SCM Plugin vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery","details":"Jenkins Poll SCM Plugin was not requiring requests to its API be sent via POST, thereby opening itself to Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. This allowed attackers to initiate polling of projects with a known name. While Jenkins in general does not consider polling to be a protection-worthy action as it's similar to cache invalidation, the plugin specifically adds a permission to be able to use this functionality, and this issue undermines that permission. This functionality now is only available via POST.","aliases":["CVE-2017-1000093"],"modified":"2024-02-21T05:30:51.823337Z","published":"2022-05-17T00:33:25Z","database_specific":{"github_reviewed_at":"2022-12-12T15:54:53Z","nvd_published_at":"2017-10-05T01:29:00Z","cwe_ids":["CWE-352"],"severity":"HIGH","github_reviewed":true},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-1000093"},{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://github.com/jenkinsci/pollscm-plugin"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://jenkins.io/security/advisory/2017-07-10"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"org.jenkins-ci.plugins:pollscm","ecosystem":"Maven","purl":"pkg:maven/org.jenkins-ci.plugins/pollscm"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1.3.1"}]}],"versions":["1.0","1.1","1.2","1.3"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/github/advisory-database/blob/main/advisories/github-reviewed/2022/05/GHSA-fv3c-6cw7-2qcq/GHSA-fv3c-6cw7-2qcq.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"}]}
