{"id":"DEBIAN-CVE-2026-115823","details":"Starman versions before 0.4019 for Perl send response bodies for HEAD requests, desynchronizing responses on keep-alive connections.  For a HEAD request Starman omits chunked framing but still writes the body returned by the application, on both the array and streaming response paths. Responses with a 1xx, 204 or 304 status also carry the body.  On a keep-alive or pipelined connection the client reads those bytes as the start of the next response. A front-end proxy that reuses upstream connections may then pair responses with the wrong requests.","modified":"2026-10-27T09:47:39.179079055Z","published":"2026-10-25T17:17:01.743Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-115823"],"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2026-115823"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"starman","ecosystem":"Debian:12","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/starman?arch=source&distro=bookworm"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.4016-1","0.4017-1","0.4018-1","0.4019-1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2026-115823.json"}},{"package":{"name":"starman","ecosystem":"Debian:13","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/starman?arch=source&distro=trixie"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.4017-1","0.4018-0+deb13u1","0.4018-1","0.4019-1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2026-115823.json"}},{"package":{"name":"starman","ecosystem":"Debian:14","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/starman?arch=source&distro=forky"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"}]}],"versions":["0.4017-1","0.4018-1","0.4019-1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2026-115823.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
