{"id":"CVE-2026-49411","summary":"Deno Node TCPWrap numeric hostname aliases bypass --deny-net resolved-IP deny checks","details":"Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime. Prior to 2.8.0, the Node.js compatibility TCP path checked the permission against the original hostname string before resolution and then did not re-check after resolution. A caller could therefore pass a numeric alias of an IP address (for example the decimal integer 2130706433 or the hex form 0x7f000001, both of which resolve to 127.0.0.1) and reach the denied destination through node:net.connect or node:http.request's { host, port } options form. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.0.","aliases":["GHSA-v8fw-85r8-5m23"],"modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:40.963748493Z","published":"2026-06-23T17:18:07.354Z","database_specific":{"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","cwe_ids":["CWE-284"],"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/49xxx/CVE-2026-49411.json"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/49xxx/CVE-2026-49411.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/denoland/deno/security/advisories/GHSA-v8fw-85r8-5m23"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-49411"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/denoland/deno","events":[{"introduced":"2d674b25625bcc367853d00fe86f6e84390f88cb"},{"fixed":"fbb5be31ac23ef40f51025d6aeaaa91d9f082e4a"}],"database_specific":{"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"2.8.0"},{"introduced":"2.7.14"}],"source":["AFFECTED_FIELD","CPE_RANGE"],"cpe":"cpe:2.3:a:deno:deno:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*"}}],"versions":["v2.7.14"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-49411.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N"}]}
