{"id":"CVE-2026-42077","summary":"Evolver: Prototype Pollution via `Object.assign()` in mailbox store operations","details":"Evolver is a GEP-powered self-evolving engine for AI agents. Prior to version 1.69.3, a prototype pollution vulnerability in the mailbox store module allows attackers to modify the behavior of all JavaScript objects by injecting malicious properties into Object.prototype. The vulnerability exists in the _applyUpdate() and _updateRecord() functions which use Object.assign() to merge user-controlled data without filtering dangerous keys like __proto__, constructor, or prototype. This issue has been patched in version 1.69.3.","aliases":["GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4"],"modified":"2026-07-08T08:03:12.694672811Z","published":"2026-05-04T16:50:15.167Z","database_specific":{"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/42xxx/CVE-2026-42077.json","cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","cwe_ids":["CWE-1321"]},"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/EvoMap/evolver/releases/tag/v1.69.3"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/42xxx/CVE-2026-42077.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/EvoMap/evolver/security/advisories/GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-42077"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/evomap/evolver","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"d6bc80bbdab21b03879bb1c69578696d046c597c"}],"database_specific":{"source":["AFFECTED_FIELD","REFERENCES"],"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1.69.3"}]}}],"versions":["v1.69.1","v1.69.0","v1.68.0-beta.2","v1.68.0-beta.1","v1.67.6","v1.67.4","v1.67.2","v1.67.1","v1.67.0","v1.66.0"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-42077.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:H"}]}
