{"id":"CVE-2026-39313","summary":"MCP-Framework: Unbounded memory allocation in readRequestBody allows denial of service via HTTP transport","details":"mcp-framework is a framework for building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. In versions 0.2.21 and below, the readRequestBody() function in the HTTP transport concatenates request body chunks into a string with no size limit. Although a maxMessageSize configuration value exists, it is never enforced in readRequestBody(). A remote unauthenticated attacker can crash any mcp-framework HTTP server by sending a single large POST request to /mcp, causing memory exhaustion and denial of service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.2.22.","aliases":["GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3"],"modified":"2026-07-08T08:02:06.094813620Z","published":"2026-04-16T21:24:27.328Z","database_specific":{"cwe_ids":["CWE-770"],"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/39xxx/CVE-2026-39313.json"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/39xxx/CVE-2026-39313.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/security/advisories/GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-39313"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/commit/f97d2bb76d6359faf10cd1fc54b4911476b62524"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/quantgeekdev/mcp-framework","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"f97d2bb76d6359faf10cd1fc54b4911476b62524"}],"database_specific":{"source":["AFFECTED_FIELD","REFERENCES"],"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"0.2.22"}]}}],"versions":["mcp-framework-v0.2.21","mcp-framework-v0.2.20","mcp-framework-v0.2.19","mcp-framework-v0.2.18","mcp-framework-v0.2.17"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-39313.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V4","score":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N"}]}
