{"id":"CVE-2026-33911","summary":"OpenEMR vulnerable to reflected XSS in graphs.php via title parameter","details":"OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, the POST parameter `title` is reflected back in a JSON response built with `json_encode()`. Because the response is served with a `text/html` Content-Type, the browser interprets injected HTML/script tags rather than treating the output as JSON. An authenticated attacker can craft a request that executes arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's session. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a fix.","aliases":["GHSA-wwhf-6cvc-6766"],"modified":"2026-04-10T05:42:58.687674Z","published":"2026-03-25T22:44:13.107Z","database_specific":{"cwe_ids":["CWE-79"],"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33911.json","cna_assigner":"GitHub_M"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33911.json"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr/commit/64e8befa0a49f85dd5e2a85c91f3f8b9e565896f"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr/releases/tag/v8_0_0_3"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr/security/advisories/GHSA-wwhf-6cvc-6766"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-33911"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"7c96c8eefe460d6fadbccbe93d0fa6bf819acd69"}],"database_specific":{"versions":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"8.0.0.3"}]}}],"versions":["v2_7_2","v2_7_2-rc1","v2_7_2-rc2","v2_7_3-rc1","v2_8_0","v2_8_1","v2_8_2","v2_8_3","v2_9_0","v3_0_0","v3_0_1","v8_0_0","v8_0_0_1","v8_0_0_2"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-33911.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N"}]}
