{"id":"CVE-2026-33754","summary":"Wazuh: Unauthenticated cluster packet length leads to uncontrolled memory allocation (remote DoS)","details":"Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. In versions 3.9.0 and above, prior to 4.14.5, a remote attacker can trigger memory exhaustion in the cluster protocol parser by sending a crafted message header with an arbitrarily large payload length. The length is trusted before authentication/decryption and used directly to allocate memory, allowing unauthenticated denial of service of the cluster service. This issue has been fixed in version 4.14.5.","aliases":["GHSA-476v-28pp-5wg9"],"modified":"2026-07-22T05:32:23.083691426Z","published":"2026-07-16T23:40:59.817Z","database_specific":{"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33754.json","cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","cwe_ids":["CWE-400"]},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33754.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh/security/advisories/GHSA-476v-28pp-5wg9"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-33754"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/wazuh/wazuh","events":[{"introduced":"18bac2de69f5a37e5c3c4e2dfbce5a0093042ea7"},{"fixed":"460511d384aadc1d539caa6c4aa6a4234d68c9ba"}],"database_specific":{"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"3.9.0"},{"fixed":"4.14.5"}],"source":["AFFECTED_FIELD","CPE_RANGE"],"cpe":"cpe:2.3:a:wazuh:wazuh:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*"}}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-33754.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
