{"id":"CVE-2026-33303","summary":"OpenEMR Vulnerable to Stored XSS via Unescaped portal_login_username in Credential Print View","details":"OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Versions prior to 8.0.0.2 are vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) via unescaped `portal_login_username` in the portal credential print view. A patient portal user can set their login username to an XSS payload, which then executes in a clinic staff member's browser when they open the \"Create Portal Login\" page for that patient. This crosses from the patient session context into the staff/admin session context. Version 8.0.0.2 fixes the issue.","aliases":["GHSA-cp37-pmfx-5mhm"],"modified":"2026-04-10T05:42:42.865250Z","published":"2026-03-19T20:25:05.823Z","database_specific":{"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33303.json","cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","cwe_ids":["CWE-79"]},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33303.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr/security/advisories/GHSA-cp37-pmfx-5mhm"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-33303"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr/commit/c32139b5144b1c704015221520ad2f931e25f10d"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/openemr/openemr","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"d7ddb2dcb11332944c1e193ae0ac32eabe439f7c"}]}],"versions":["v2_7_2","v2_7_2-rc1","v2_7_2-rc2","v2_7_3-rc1","v2_8_0","v2_8_1","v2_8_2","v2_8_3","v2_9_0","v3_0_0","v3_0_1","v8_0_0","v8_0_0_1"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-33303.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N"}]}
