{"id":"CVE-2026-32888","summary":"Open Source Point of Sale is Vulnerable to SQL Injection Through its Item Search Functionality","details":"Open Source Point of Sale is a web based point-of-sale application written in PHP using CodeIgniter framework. Versions contain an SQL Injection in the Items search functionality. When the custom attribute search feature is enabled (search_custom filter), user-supplied input from the search GET parameter is interpolated directly into a HAVING clause without parameterization or sanitization. This allows an authenticated attacker with basic item search permissions to execute arbitrary SQL queries. A patch did not exist at the time of publication.","aliases":["GHSA-hmjv-wm3j-pfhw"],"modified":"2026-04-10T05:42:30.982858Z","published":"2026-03-20T02:14:34.995Z","database_specific":{"cwe_ids":["CWE-89"],"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/32xxx/CVE-2026-32888.json"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/32xxx/CVE-2026-32888.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/opensourcepos/opensourcepos/security/advisories/GHSA-hmjv-wm3j-pfhw"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-32888"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/opensourcepos/opensourcepos","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"5f395d987b02562092b838073cb2e23a22d2bca4"}],"database_specific":{"versions":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"3.4.1"}]}}],"versions":["2.3.1","2.3.2","2.3.3","2.3.4","2.4.0","3.0.0","3.0.1","3.0.2","3.1.0","3.1.1","3.2.0","3.3.0","3.3.1","3.3.2","3.3.3","3.3.4","3.3.5","3.3.6","3.3.7","3.3.8","3.3.9","3.4.0","3.4.1","master.3.3.5","master.3.3.6","master.3.4.0-dev"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-32888.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"}]}
