{"id":"CVE-2026-32702","summary":"Cleanuparr has Username Enumeration via Timing Attack","details":"Cleanuparr is a tool for automating the cleanup of unwanted or blocked files in Sonarr, Radarr, and supported download clients like qBittorrent. From 2.7.0 to 2.8.0, the /api/auth/login endpoint contains a logic flaw that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to enumerate valid usernames by measuring the application's response time. It appears that the hashing function, which is the most time-consuming part of the process by design, occurs as part of the VerifyPassword function. With the short circuits occurring before the hashing function, a timing differential is introduced that exposes validity to the actor. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.1.","aliases":["GHSA-gjmf-m27r-2c9v"],"modified":"2026-04-02T13:25:41.517480Z","published":"2026-03-13T21:09:00.127Z","database_specific":{"cwe_ids":["CWE-208"],"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/32xxx/CVE-2026-32702.json"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/32xxx/CVE-2026-32702.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/Cleanuparr/Cleanuparr/security/advisories/GHSA-gjmf-m27r-2c9v"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-32702"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/cleanuparr/cleanuparr","events":[{"introduced":"e1cc0dba28985b383bfadc7a89524ede65b19222"},{"fixed":"87bb92fac05c4ed33ad45cbe76e5e5799699a982"}]}],"versions":["v2.7.0","v2.7.1","v2.7.2","v2.7.3","v2.7.4","v2.7.5","v2.7.6","v2.7.7","v2.7.8","v2.7.9","v2.8.0"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-32702.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V4","score":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N"}]}
