{"id":"CVE-2026-29079","summary":"Type Confusion in Lexbor Fragment Parser","details":"Lexbor is a web browser engine library. Prior to 2.7.0, a type‑confusion vulnerability exists in Lexbor’s HTML fragment parser. When ns = UNDEF, a comment is created using the “unknown element” constructor. The comment’s data are written into the element’s fields via an unsafe cast, corrupting the qualified_name field. That corrupted value is later used as a pointer and dereferenced near the zero page. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.0.","aliases":["GHSA-mrpr-v36q-2vp8"],"modified":"2026-04-02T13:22:49.590287Z","published":"2026-03-13T17:19:46.025Z","database_specific":{"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/29xxx/CVE-2026-29079.json","cwe_ids":["CWE-843"],"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/29xxx/CVE-2026-29079.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/lexbor/lexbor/security/advisories/GHSA-mrpr-v36q-2vp8"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-29079"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/lexbor/lexbor","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"de30a79397f8db1c22bce2fd5a792d84fd065762"}]}],"versions":["0.1.0","0.2.0","v0.4.0","v1.0.0","v2.1.0","v2.2.0","v2.3.0","v2.4.0","v2.5.0","v2.6.0"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-29079.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V4","score":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N"}]}
