{"id":"CVE-2026-110726","details":"In `api-gateway` versions till `1.7.3`, The default rate-limit key resolver, `ClientIpKeyResolver`, derives the per-client bucket key from the leftmost element of the `X-Forwarded-For` request header. That element is supplied by the originating HTTP client and is not validated against any trusted-proxy list. A single attacker can therefore obtain an unlimited number of independent rate-limit buckets — one per unique header value — and completely bypass the gateway's request-rate limiting on every route that uses the shipped default configuration.","aliases":["GHSA-ch6x-rg7q-7jfx"],"modified":"2026-10-17T02:48:18.645004002Z","published":"2026-10-15T11:58:03.903Z","database_specific":{"cna_assigner":"eclipse","cwe_ids":["CWE-348","CWE-770","CWE-807"],"osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/110xxx/CVE-2026-110726.json"},"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://gitlab.eclipse.org/security/cve-assignment/-/work_items/404"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/110xxx/CVE-2026-110726.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/eclipse-ecsp/api-gateway/security/advisories/GHSA-ch6x-rg7q-7jfx"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-110726"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/eclipse-ecsp/api-gateway/pull/330"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/eclipse-ecsp/api-gateway","events":[{"introduced":"929db2f2464354ac8336abefb478aa80281e97cc"},{"last_affected":"14e30b93bae820aa35a19e76372fd3cf1a8ab66e"}],"database_specific":{"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"1.5.4"},{"last_affected":"1.7.3"}],"source":"AFFECTED_FIELD"}}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2026-110726.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
