{"id":"CVE-2021-29435","details":"trestle-auth is an authentication plugin for the Trestle admin framework. A vulnerability in trestle-auth versions 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 allows an attacker to create a form that will bypass Rails' built-in CSRF protection when submitted by a victim with a trestle-auth admin session. This potentially allows an attacker to alter protected data, including admin account credentials. The vulnerability has been fixed in trestle-auth 0.4.2 released to RubyGems.","aliases":["GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf"],"modified":"2026-07-09T10:01:38.960495Z","published":"2021-04-13T20:15:21.907Z","references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/security/advisories/GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://rubygems.org/gems/trestle-auth"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/commit/cb95b05cdb2609052207af07b4b8dfe3a23c11dc"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/trestleadmin/trestle-auth","events":[{"introduced":"e57cda555a25caf4f6c02bd122cf07cf4b4c7b7a"},{"last_affected":"71d7f3d9f32d2f2cae385a9d9beb397a142b9203"},{"fixed":"cb95b05cdb2609052207af07b4b8dfe3a23c11dc"}],"database_specific":{"cpe":["cpe:2.3:a:trestle-auth_project:trestle-auth:0.4.0:*:*:*:*:ruby:*:*","cpe:2.3:a:trestle-auth_project:trestle-auth:0.4.1:*:*:*:*:ruby:*:*"],"extracted_events":[{"introduced":"0.4.0"},{"last_affected":"0.4.0"},{"introduced":"0.4.1"},{"last_affected":"0.4.1"}],"source":["CPE_STRING","REFERENCES"]}}],"versions":["0.4.0","0.4.1","v0.4.1","v0.4.0"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2021-29435.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N"}]}
