{"id":"CVE-2021-26843","details":"An issue was discovered in sthttpd through 2.27.1. On systems where the strcpy function is implemented with memcpy, the de_dotdot function may cause a Denial-of-Service (daemon crash) due to overlapping memory ranges being passed to memcpy. This can triggered with an HTTP GET request for a crafted filename. NOTE: this is similar to CVE-2017-10671, but occurs in a different part of the de_dotdot function.","modified":"2026-07-08T21:26:20.293829Z","published":"2021-02-07T21:15:11.790Z","references":[{"type":"EVIDENCE","url":"https://github.com/blueness/sthttpd/issues/14"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/blueness/sthttpd","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2845bf5bff2b820d2336c8c8061cbfc5f271e720"}],"database_specific":{"source":"CPE_RANGE","cpe":"cpe:2.3:a:sthttpd_project:sthttpd:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","extracted_events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2.27.1"}]}}],"versions":["v2.27.1"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2021-26843.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
