{"id":"CVE-2020-37041","details":"OpenCTI 3.3.1 is vulnerable to a directory traversal attack via the static/css endpoint. An unauthenticated attacker can read arbitrary files from the filesystem by sending crafted GET requests with path traversal sequences (e.g., '../') in the URL. For example, requesting /static/css//../../../../../../../../etc/passwd returns the contents of /etc/passwd. This vulnerability was discovered by Raif Berkay Dincel and confirmed on Linux Mint and Windows 10.","aliases":["PYSEC-2026-114"],"modified":"2026-07-09T02:36:04.490617Z","published":"2026-01-30T23:16:09.750Z","references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://www.opencti.io/"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/opencti-directory-traversal"},{"type":"PACKAGE","url":"https://github.com/OpenCTI-Platform/opencti"},{"type":"EVIDENCE","url":"https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/48595"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/opencti-platform/opencti","events":[{"introduced":"8db2da84f2e88f3b7b86e06e78c76806fa59ea25"},{"last_affected":"8db2da84f2e88f3b7b86e06e78c76806fa59ea25"}],"database_specific":{"cpe":"cpe:2.3:a:citeum:opencti:3.3.1:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","extracted_events":[{"introduced":"3.3.1"},{"last_affected":"3.3.1"}],"source":"CPE_STRING"}}],"versions":["3.3.1"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2020-37041.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V4","score":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:X/CR:X/IR:X/AR:X/MAV:X/MAC:X/MAT:X/MPR:X/MUI:X/MVC:X/MVI:X/MVA:X/MSC:X/MSI:X/MSA:X/S:X/AU:X/R:X/V:X/RE:X/U:X"}]}
