{"id":"AZL-99912","summary":"CVE-2026-85534 affecting package libsoup 3.4.4-16","details":"A flaw was found in libsoup. When a client sends an HTTP/2 request body from a non-pollable input stream, the library can buffer more data than the current flow-control window later allows. A malicious HTTP/2 server can shrink SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE while that buffered read is still in progress. The client then copies the full buffer into a smaller DATA callback without a runtime bounds check, which can abort the process or fail the HTTP/2 session.","modified":"2026-09-12T05:27:53Z","published":"2026-09-04T11:17:19Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-85534"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-85534"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"libsoup","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/libsoup"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"3.4.4-16"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-99912.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
