{"id":"AZL-97329","summary":"CVE-2026-74733 affecting package kernel 6.6.150.1-1","details":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\ngpio: pca953x: fix pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock regmap lock\n\nLocking is disabled in the regmap config as this driver uses its own\nlock. This means that all calls to regmap functions (read or write) must\nhold the i2c_lock. The function pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock() did not do\nthis, and it was therefore possible that multiple threads could cause an\nincorrect register to be read/written.\n\nA previous patch partly fixed this, but only protected the write to the\ninterrupt mask register, and not the read from the direction register.","modified":"2026-08-31T05:26:27Z","published":"2026-08-22T16:16:48Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-74733"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-74733"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"kernel","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/kernel"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"6.6.150.1-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-97329.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
