{"id":"AZL-95481","summary":"CVE-2026-18938 affecting package p11-kit 0.25.0-1","details":"A flaw was found in p11-kit. A local attacker, or one with equivalent access to a reachable RPC channel, could exploit an integer overflow vulnerability. By sending specially crafted messages, the attacker can cause the system to miscalculate memory allocation for nested attributes. This leads to a memory corruption issue, specifically a heap out-of-bounds write, which can crash the p11-kit RPC parsing process, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). This vulnerability is only exploitable on 32 bit systems.","modified":"2026-08-30T05:26:50Z","published":"2026-08-07T09:16:58Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-18938"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-18938"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"p11-kit","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/p11-kit"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"0.25.0-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-95481.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
