{"id":"AZL-95475","summary":"CVE-2026-71497 affecting package javapackages-bootstrap 1.14.0-4","details":"jsoup is a Java library for working with real-world HTML. From 1.14.3 until 1.23.1, jsoup's HTML parser could incorrectly handle a malformed tag name ending in a control character, causing the tag to acquire the parsing behavior of a different element. When a custom Safelist permits certain raw-text elements, this misparsing can cause content that should remain inert text to be emitted as active markup after serialization, potentially resulting in cross-site scripting. jsoup's built-in Safelists are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.1.","modified":"2026-08-29T05:27:27Z","published":"2026-08-06T22:18:32Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-71497"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-71497"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"javapackages-bootstrap","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/javapackages-bootstrap"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"1.14.0-4"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-95475.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
