{"id":"AZL-92456","summary":"CVE-2026-45784 affecting package 389-ds-base 3.1.1-11","details":"rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.10.50 until 0.10.80, CipherCtxRef::cipher_update_inplace in openssl/src/cipher_ctx.rs incorrectly sized output buffers when used with AES key-wrap-with-padding ciphers EVP_aes_{128,192,256}_wrap_pad. For a non-multiple-of-8 input, OpenSSL writes up to 7 bytes past the end of the caller's buffer or Vec, producing attacker-controllable heap corruption when the plaintext length is attacker-influenced. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.80.","modified":"2026-09-02T05:29:58Z","published":"2026-07-17T21:17:06Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-45784"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-45784"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"389-ds-base","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/389-ds-base"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"3.1.1-11"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-92456.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
