{"id":"AZL-83624","summary":"CVE-2026-41681 affecting package 389-ds-base 3.1.1-11","details":"rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language.  From 0.10.39 to before 0.10.78, EVP_DigestFinal() always writes EVP_MD_CTX_size(ctx) to the out buffer. If out is smaller than that, MdCtxRef::digest_final() writes past its end, usually corrupting the stack. This is reachable from safe Rust. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.10.78.","modified":"2026-08-30T05:24:52Z","published":"2026-04-24T18:16:29Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-41681"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-41681"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"389-ds-base","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/389-ds-base"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"3.1.1-11"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-83624.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
