{"id":"AZL-112789","summary":"CVE-2026-120651 affecting package perl-CGI 4.60-1","details":"CGI versions before 5.00 for Perl allow an infinite loop on a short request body when $DISABLE_UPLOADS is set.\n\nWhen $CGI::PUTDATA_UPLOAD or an upload hook is set, read_postdata_putdata takes a request body that is not a form submission. With $CGI::DISABLE_UPLOADS set, it discards the body by reading until Content-Length bytes have arrived. Once a body shorter than its Content-Length runs out, every read returns 0, so the loop never ends.\n\nA client can keep a server process spinning with one such request.","modified":"2026-11-07T14:18:06.233440401Z","published":"2026-11-04T00:17:26Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-120651"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-120651"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"perl-CGI","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/perl-CGI"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"4.60-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-112789.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
