{"id":"AZL-112652","summary":"CVE-2026-115710 affecting package rubygem-elasticsearch 8.9.0-1","details":"Use of Cache Containing Sensitive Information (CWE-524) in Elasticsearch can lead to information disclosure and incorrect search results via specially crafted search requests. For some query types, Elasticsearch can share cached query results between users who have field-level security restrictions and users who do not. A user restricted by field-level security can learn which documents match a value in a field that they cannot read. A restricted user can also cause users with full access to receive incomplete search results. Disclosure is only possible when a user with full access ran the same query on the same shard recently.","modified":"2026-11-04T14:17:37.793037369Z","published":"2026-11-03T17:17:55Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-115710"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-115710"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"rubygem-elasticsearch","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/rubygem-elasticsearch"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"8.9.0-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-112652.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
