{"id":"AZL-112490","summary":"CVE-2026-118780 affecting package python-tensorboard 2.16.2-6","details":"Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used pki.verifyCertificateChain(), pki.createCaStore(), duplicate subject names to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge modified the CA store while trying certificates that shared a subject name during pki.verifyCertificateChain(). A failed chain verification could permanently remove trusted CA certificates from the store, causing later valid chains to fail and creating a persistent availability impact for applications that reused the store. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.","modified":"2026-11-02T14:17:06.113326827Z","published":"2026-10-29T19:17:20Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-118780"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-118780"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"python-tensorboard","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/python-tensorboard"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2.16.2-6"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-112490.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
