{"id":"AZL-112469","summary":"CVE-2026-118779 affecting package python-tensorboard 2.16.2-6","details":"Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used pem.decode(), lib/pem.js, missing END line to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge used polynomial-time regular expressions in pem.decode(), including when searching for a matching END line and parsing encapsulated headers. An unauthenticated attacker able to supply PEM input to any high-level parser could consume excessive CPU with a long malformed message and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.","modified":"2026-11-02T14:18:11.797923753Z","published":"2026-10-29T19:17:20Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-118779"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-118779"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"python-tensorboard","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/python-tensorboard"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2.16.2-6"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-112469.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
