{"id":"AZL-112415","summary":"CVE-2026-93006 affecting package dnsmasq 2.93-1","details":"A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TFTP server can serve the wrong file contents because a recently used transfer cache is not invalidated when a transfer finishes. An attacker on the local network who can request a TFTP file may cause a later client to receive previously cached data instead of the requested file. In PXE network-boot environments this can substitute attacker-chosen boot content for a victim machine.","modified":"2026-11-03T05:33:06Z","published":"2026-10-29T13:17:15Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-93006"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-93006"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"dnsmasq","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/dnsmasq"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2.93-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-112415.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.2"}
