{"id":"AZL-110960","summary":"CVE-2026-99070 affecting package kernel 6.6.157.1-1","details":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\nipv6: do not warn on route notification size race\n\nfib6_info_hw_flags_set() sizes the skb with rt6_nlmsg_size() and later\nfills it with rt6_fill_node().  With nexthop compatibility mode enabled,\na concurrent replacement can grow the group between these independent\nsnapshots.  rt6_fill_node() can then legitimately return -EMSGSIZE, so\nthe warning does not prove a sizing bug.\n\nRemove the warning.  The existing error path still frees the skb and\nreports the error to listeners.","modified":"2026-10-24T14:16:40.278972428Z","published":"2026-10-23T13:17:30Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-99070"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-99070"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"kernel","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/kernel"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"6.6.157.1-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-110960.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
