{"id":"AZL-110103","summary":"CVE-2026-113713 affecting package python-virtualenv 20.36.1-6","details":"virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. From 21.14.8 until 21.14.10, the app-data seeder can leave an environment linked to temporary package files that virtualenv deletes when creation finishes. The environment-variable and configuration-file forms of symlink_app_data can enable this state even though the command-line flag is disabled for temporary app-data. The resulting environment depends on a cache pathname that its owner no longer controls. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.10.","modified":"2026-10-23T14:16:37.368179962Z","published":"2026-10-20T19:17:33Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-113713"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-113713"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"python-virtualenv","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/python-virtualenv"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"20.36.1-6"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-110103.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
