{"id":"AZL-108443","summary":"CVE-2026-97205 affecting package nginx 1.30.4-1","details":"NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_core_module module. When asynchronous file I/O (AIO) is enabled in certain configurations, processing a Server Side Includes (SSI) page containing “include virtual” commands may trigger a Use-After-Free (UAF) in the NGINX worker process. This may cause memory corruption or a worker process crash. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.\n\nImpact:\nThis vulnerability may allow remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) on the NGINX system, corrupt its memory, or possibly trigger code execution. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.\n\n\n\n\nNote: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.","modified":"2026-10-17T14:16:38.213900359Z","published":"2026-10-14T15:17:28Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-97205"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-97205"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"nginx","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/nginx"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"1.30.4-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-108443.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
