{"id":"AZL-102420","summary":"CVE-2026-90154 affecting package kernel 6.6.150.1-1","details":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\nksmbd: scope session state changes to bound connections\n\nksmbd_all_conn_set_status() treats every connection whose transient\nbinding flag is set as belonging to the target SessionId.  A logoff or\nsession replacement can consequently move an unrelated connection to\nNEED_RECONNECT or NEED_SETUP.\n\nPass the target session itself and select connections using either the\nconnection-local session xarray or the session's permanent channel list.\nUse the same association test while waiting for requests to drain.\n\nSerialize session-wide status changes under request_lock and do not\noverwrite EXITING or RELEASING. Protect the shutdown transition with the\nsame lock so a concurrent session update cannot revive a closing\nconnection.","modified":"2026-09-18T14:16:34.251618697Z","published":"2026-09-17T17:17:08Z","upstream":["CVE-2026-90154"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-90154"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"kernel","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/kernel"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"6.6.150.1-1"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-102420.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0"}
